Before I even think of grabbing a gun in .17 rem, I have my eye on a nice Sako...

....will I have headaches getting dies, bullets, brass etc?

Is there any .17 rem fans or haters out there?
Please post your opinions on this caliber.
Too be used at the 100 to 250yd ranges for jack rabbits, fox and coyotes.

I have one and it is amazingly accurate. Also have tons of brass and bullets. WSS in Calgary has bags of R-P brass in stock, and bullets are easy to find from Hornady and Berger.

Great little calibre. If loaded sensibly, the brass lasts as long as any other. And, a box of a 1000 bullets takes up very little room on the shelf!

Where in S. Ont. are you? I'm in Essex County and have 2 .17 Rems now. I noticed there is a boxing day sale at ShootersChoice and 2 LVSF's are marked down to $600.00 from $1045.00. Brand new in .17 Rem.
What a cool calibre.
