Anyone here of any other companies building a rifle for the 17 win super mag other than savage? I'm really hoping cz jumps on the wagon!

ammo is supposed to be about $15, comparable to .17HMR, and in fact they'd be stupid to charge more when they're trying
to switch people over and convince new rimfire rifle buyers to go .17wsm! If they do charge more down the road it should
only be years down the road when they've established their niche as the ultimate rimfire calibre!

Yes, it will be very interesting to see what the introductory price point is for the .17WSM. If it is the same as .17HMR, it may hurt new sales of their own .17HMR rifles/ammo. If it is much more, some centrefire choices become an option especially if you reload. Then what is the price 5 years later...

P&D said it would be closer to $20/50 then to hmr prices but I have no idea. Also so far there is only winchester ammo.

I recently saw a video comparing .17wsm with the .17hrm and .22lr on water jugs. Does anyone remember seeing it posted? I can't find it now.

Confirmed with WSS that their current price for Win 17WSM is 16.99 but they don't have any in stock yet. Will have to see if it's that same price when they actually get it.

I hope that someone other than savage chambers this or it will go nowhere I'm not the only person I know who dislikes savages

Yep. Not seeing these hit the streets any time soon.

Winchester is chambering it in a Low Wall 1885, price supposed to be around $1400. Dunno what the Savage is supposed to cost. Cheap, though.
If they don't get their production and distribution stream up and running pretty quick, they will be without buyers enough to interest the other makers in chambering rifles to this cartridge.

Cheers
