17 wsm savage B mag with SS heavy barrel

Not in this area. I know of at least 6 stores that have ammo.
Pulled the trigger and bought the gun along with 5 boxes of ammo... Hopefully I'll get to try her out this weekend
My skinny barrel version seemed to like the 25 gn better. The guys in the states seem to be having better luck with the 20 gn ammo. I'm holding out for the blued fluted barrel to show up but still curious how well the heavy barrel shoots. Can you post some picks of your results when you get a chance to shoot it?

I only have pictures of how it shot at 60 mtrs but here are the groups. This was the first time I got it out and didn't do any break in. I think I pulled the one shot outside of the ragged hole on the 25 gn target. My buddy liked the rifle so much I sold it to him to fund buying the heavy barrel which I'm waiting for. I shot it at 100 mtrs once and it kept the 25 gn at around 3/4" and the 20 gn were around 1 1/4". Perfect day for shooting( no wind) so it did help.Some guys do 3 shot test groups but I find 5 shot can change the outcome a bit. This isn't a bone stock rifle. I glass bedded the stock which did stiffen it up a bit.

The few guys who have posted on Rimfire Central seem to be having better luck with accuracy in the new guns they are getting. Hopefully you got one of them. Make sure the wedge that holds the trigger assembly to the receiver is in tight because the rear screw that hold the stock on goes into the trigger assembly. A few guys complained about them being loose.

came back from the range... im not to impressed at 100 yards with 20 gr bullets i was getting roughly 3 inch groups :s.. I'm bringing back to cabelas tomorrow morning hopefully they give me a new rifle! i think i might just go with 22 mag.... I'm disappointed to say the least.. i think ill wait til another gun maker makes a rifle
