1700 lb LEAD KEEL **UPDATE**

You would be better off selling the lead keel , for scrap metal whole then trying to cut it up.
There are a few lead solder mfg in your area that my give you a good dollar for it.

First of all, this is sacrilegious! Suggesting to scrap any lead, in the bullet making/casting section!!!

Second. I'd be interested in about 150lbs, or more or less depending on price. I'm in windsor, but make monthly trips across the province. Team buy option yomomma? Those eligible could chip in money for a chainsaw sharpening and gas?? Haha

Thirdly, any idea of the boat manufacturer? If they are still in business, it's always possible to confirm what alloy they used (sometimes not pure)

Here is what I got...

hi Yes you can cut the keel off
l would scrap the sailboat after the keel is off
the firm price is $600.00 for the keel
the sailboat is in Smithville

This seems like a fair price. (About scrap value)

I currently can not afford it since the company I worked for closed its doors. I'm more than willing to help for 100lbs. I have an old chain saw we could use.

You guys figure it out. If you guys want to get together, great. If one person wants it all, thats great too.
