Doesn't work as in still have leading? If so, what does your 9mm bore slug out to and what are you sizing it down to?
Dude I have been on cast boolits since july 2013. I have read the 300 + pages of the hitek thread, and the ton of pc threads also. I have tried everything.
Theres nothing that you can teach me about this. Really. I have an ESPC gun, I have a convection oven with a PID, I have tried different hitek coatings, different ratios, quantities, drying time, cooking time, heat treated bullets or not, sized 356, 357, 358, expander mod, min crimp, measure pulled out, ANYTHING.
I have tried everything. Feel free to read my 790 posts.
We came to the conclusion that my alloy doesnt work with 9mm pressure.
I'll just lube and see if that works. It's much faster anyway. Hitek has to be cooked, deal with the oven, the fumes, the 2-3 coats, 15 min each, blllaaaaaa jesus.
Just sucks that I have trashed my 2 bottles of 45/45/10 last summer because I though that hitek would fix it all.
I have 2 bottles of alox on order to make myself some new 454510....
also trying some yellow dragon lube.
Maybe if it all works, either I'll just tumble lube 454510 or I'll get a star sizer with canauba red.
But really, I don't really see what's hard with tumble lubing 454510... takes like 5 minutes to do a couple thousand.... cant really beat this.
oh yeah, pc and hitek bullets are pretty. But they still lead in 9mm for me.
45 and 38 special were ok. half the pressure.
Honestly, if you want to talk about it, see my threads on castboolits. not starting over here.
