any body having any luck with h4895 and the 175 smk

U.S. Military uses RL-15 with the 175 SMK.

I like Varget.

Many use H4895 with success. Go for it.

I'm .75 inch group@300 mtrs.175 smk,44.7 varget col 2.80 lapua bras wlr primer rem 700 milspec 5r 24 inch barrel.have witnesses

Varget, 4895 are good, benchmark is doable.

Also BLC2 works well, along with IMR4166

I'm currently running 175smk with 42.5gr of H4895, 2.84 OAL. No chrony at the moment, but I've run it out to 600yds and drop shows that it's running just under 2700fps.

I get about .6-.7moa

Varget gives me Better results, but I can't seem to find it for under $45/lb

No I have not yet. Varget for my target 308 with 175s and rl 15 for a kimber hunting rifle with 180 Sierras. But have another 308 coming to me soon so will tag this thread. Gonna see which size of smk it prefers first using yup varget then go from there.

I do use imr4895 with 150 s but that's in an m14 so kinda picky. Reason I mention is .... That's similiar to h4895 correct ???
