.177 kalashnikov ak 47

Just checked it out... cool. The Uzi is pretty nice too, I'd love to actually hold one of these. If they are indeed top quality and quite realistic I'd buy one just to hang in my den.

You might be referring to the Yunker, you see them pop-up from time to time on forums, and for sale on the Canadian Airgun Forum;

that's the one, it never said anything about yunker it was advertised just as a cybergun kalashnikov ak 47. but after checking out your link i see the connection now.

from what iv found out the yunkers are actually real ak's that have been converted. not surprisingly these mysteriously stopped coming into canada. it seems like the only ones that are still being brought in are those ones with the disgusting AR front rail. the yunkers are the real beauties but i guess you can only get them through private sale. all over the UK though.

No they weren't converted. They are purpose made at the Izhevsk factory as air guns. About 90% of the parts are real AK-74 parts, but the receiver is not identical to the real firearm and neither is the barrel. The CO2 is housed in the magazine.

If you have just under $1000 in hand you can find one pretty easy.

I have a friend with a wood AK conversion. Had it for a few years and apparently not that many made it into Canada?
