17HM2 build on a Martini action

I have thick fingers and on my 17-22 myra extruder I use a chop stick to push in the 22LR cartridge when bench shooting and can use my pinky when walking

Make sure you have a real good pad on the bipod next to the wood, I had a Sako P94 Finnfire set up like that and moving side to side ,it marked up the wood quite bad, happened before I got the rifle.

Here are a few pics of the process.

Here are some pics after casing but before it was laquered or put together. You never know what the colours will be but more often than not they turn out okay.

Here is another 17 I built but is a 17 hornet built on a crappy old stevens shot gun with a tenite stock. Shoots like a house on fire. The last pic are three old stevens frames I dunked for the fun of it.

Absolutely beautiful

Id like to get a couple projects case colored eventually
A bolt action mauser
A henry lever. Still waiting to see if they make the 41mag in a case colored reciever
And lastly a 1911

Well, that is much more than I expected and I Thank You for obliging.
The blue barrel and big orange flash reminded me of another thread just now that you posted last spring of another project??
Thank you for sharing and great work !!
Best Regards,
Rob

Yes, I think I used the same photos in that post as well. I need to talk my daughter to take some new pics of it for me, maybe at night when the flash is more impressive. It only lasts for a second or so but it is cool.

I got tired of waiting for warm weather and took my Martini out and shot a box of ammo. Very nice cartridge and love that rifle, shoots really well.

I have taken this rifle to my parents ranch a couple of time now and it is great fun. Deadly accurate on gophers. They get lots of wind and on the gusty days I hold for windage but still great fun.
