.17hmr $13.97 @ Walmart

Same here, $13.x for 20gr, but unfortunately $18.x for Win Supreme 17gr. It's hard to believe that the lighter rounds are worth $5 more per box.

Spend your money at Walmart to save 3 bucks and put another Canadian out of work. Shop locally, you d*ckheads.

well the local gunstores here are $7 a box more , walmart employs canadians as well and likely pay a bit better(with there benifits) than the local gunstores around here as well . Not trying to sound Like a Duckhead as I assume that is what you were saying

Today at the Galt gun club the local trailer vendor "Frank" was selling CCI Vmax and Gamepoints for $12.97c and said thats his regular price!

I understand "supporting the mom and pops", but if mom and pop aren't competitive enough to sell the same box of ammo for less than $7-10 more, then Oh well. This is economics not charity.

First of all....you dont know me well enough to call me a "d*ckhead"

Secondly, if you can say without a doubt that you have NEVER bought anything but Canadian or even American products, then u can start calling people out.

I think an appology to all of CGN would be appropriate. You dont even have to use a foreign language, you can type it in English :dancingbanana:

Last I checked, WalMart did not exclusively employ Chinese people, fiddler. Perhaps you should compare the number of Canadians employed at your local Wally World with your local gun shop. I appreciate your sentiment, but ideals and realities are rarely in alignment these days. The same American and Canadian companies that you'd presumably have us support for a few dollars more have been the first to outsource to foreign countries and boot people out of their factory jobs.

i always shop around with the local suppliers. but in the end, i buy elsewhere. i buy alot of ammo a year. saving 3 dollars per fiffty rounds equals big savings.
and here is an example of buying local. i purchased two thousand rounds of 223 from a local dealer. he was higher than others, but i do like to try to help locals. inside one of the cases, was the purchase order, and invoice from the CANADIAN company he bought it from. the mark up was to the order of 6 dollars per 50. how about local dealers helping out locals??

wow to my surprise (even after asking ammo lady @ Walmart to order 17 ammo a year ago, and was told not going to happen! ) my wife picked some up for me there!
Basically because of this post THX OP I mentioned it to her.

I was whining to my wife about seeing this posting and we are paying 19.99 at local gun shop and 18.99 at crappy tire she just called from work saying I stopped at walmart and bought you some 17 HMR! WOW first time in three years it's been for sale in Walmart here, that I've seen.

now if we could get federal .22 bulk packs to a good price again that would be great. canadian tire is now 29 dollars for the 525 pack, thats a 7 dollar increase since the begining of the summer
