Anyone know who has 17hmr cleaning kits....??
I tried calling around and all I can find is universal kits...I'm told someone makes a kit just for 17hmr..
thanks DMF

Best best would be to buy an appropriate single piece rod , brush, and jag. Kits tend to be lower quality ( not in all cases) and your money could be better off spent on quality items

Ok thanks for the advice i'm not sure on some of the kits I see ...your right they look cheap ...and I would hate to wreck my 17HMR with a kit that is not right for my rifle...

I'm still lookin ...saw a guy on the internet ...cutting Q-tips in half and using them to clean his...

You can order everything you need online from J. Dewey, including those skinny rods for 17, and it's all top quality. I use the pistol brushes cause they are easier to push down that tiny bore!

This is what I did after I broke a cheaper kit. It can be hard to find the right size of patch to use that won't get stuck in a .17. The one piece rod is a lot stronger. Mine uses a male thread on the rod unlike all others. I bought extra mops because of this. I'm not sure I will always be able to find the accessories. I got it at Wholesale Sports in Langley, BC. My ass is welded to my chair after a good day of shooting or I would get the name.
