I am gonna hate myself for saying this, but I now wish I bought the 22mag instead of the 17hmr. Having said that the CZ Varmint is one nice rifle. I don't hunt but just shot paper. THe 22 mag would have been better I think and a little cheaper..........
17hmr or 22lr?

22 lr, because you can shoot that little bugger all day for a fractions of the cost of a 17 hmr. Plus I feel, you don't need a long range rifle to practice your shooting, the principles should be the same for any you shoot. Practice is practice. I practice with my 22 as much as I can, cheaper and definitely helps my shooting.
