17HMR Vrs 22Lr For precision shooting practice. Am I off target?

I can reload match grade 223 for not much of a price difference when compared to 17HMR which to me makes it not worth shooting a 17

If it wasn’t the first gun I bought I probably would sell. It, if anyone’s interested in a 455 .17 hmr synthetic let me know hahah

I was going to suggest you get into "casting" and reloading your own... shooting subsonic loads can be fun... but that's a whole new hobby into itself

I was also going to mention this exact same thing. That is the reason I sold the .17hmr I bought when it first came out, I started reloading .223.
