Hey guys~I was at Bass Pro Shops (Vaughan) a couple of days ago and was shocked to see a little 17M2 ammo in the case. There were about 9 boxes there, so I grabbed 4 and left the rest. Crossed my mind to nab it all, but I'd like to think leaving some gives my fellow M2 lovers in the area a chance!

Good for you for leaving some behind for others!

I picked up some here too, inventory seems to be coming back at some places.

Good news, it's such a great, accurate caliber....(except when the wind blows here)
 
Love my 17M2... glad to see ammo still around.

Thanks for the heads up!

Mach 2 shooters need to start using their rifles more. I think the whole 5mm Rem thing is still stuck in some people's minds. Many stocked up with all the Mach 2 they could find, then just shot other rimfire calibers 'just in case'...

It's back on the shelves, we need to shoot and buy....it's too good a caliber not to.
 
Cabela's in Winnipeg has some now.... I bought my Son a Marlin .17M2 for Christmas a couple years back off a member here (actually I bought 2 off him!) That rifle turned out to be a real lazer! Its every bit as accurate as my Savage .17 93R17 BSEV! I missed a deal on a 10/22 bolt and barrel here by accident! I replied by PM to the guys add, saying i'd take it, but I guess I failed to hit send! A couple days later I check to see if he replied and only noticed it then, by then it was too late! DAMN I kicked myself!!!!

I'd absolutely love to find a barrel and bolt, so I could try it out in my 10/22T model. :)

I really like the .17m2! Its a cheap round, and proves to be an awesome gopher stopper!

Admittedly, I'm too paranoid about ammo supply to shoot mine much (as much as I love shooting it) BUT...I'm buying like I am shooting it, I guess that's all that counts! :) It is an incredibly fun rimfire round, and kind of puts a dent in my desire to pull out the .22s! As much as the 22 ammo I like is getting hard to find, it's still more readily available than 17M2..so everything gets used a little. lol

Hey Archer~if you're in Belleville, let me know if they still have some. It was $8.99 a box at Bass Pro, which is a great price.

i too feel the same way..i love my 17 mach 2 the best round for gophers i like it better then the hmr but dont wanna shoot it afraid ill run out...with all the crap about they dont make it anymore that the suppliers are feeding everyone! it would be nice if i was to go back to 6-7 bucks a box
 
Will do. $8.99 is a good price. Has anyone done any testing to see what shoots better out of their rifles ? I'm not even sure what's available now. I have some Remington that I was told was manufactured by Eley. Supposed to be the same as Eley M2. I bought a Marlin 917 HB but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.
I have too many projects on the go rite now.

One of each is a good option???????????? I know I have at last one of each because I would feel like I was missing out on something if I didn't.....

Hornady is the only current manufacturer of 17 Mach 2......from what I have read, Eley has suspended production. I don't know if it is a permanent suspension or not. Maybe they are waiting to see how the latest Hornady batch sells....
