Thanks Rob, I have Varget and some 25gr hp Hornady. I will look into the Berger.

I'm sure it'll work fine with the hornady. .. just back off and work up to it. I'm at max or a half gr. below according to the manuals I used.... but they all vary.
What flavour .17 rem you get?

I loaded up some with 24gr of Varget, will get out to shoot some when the scope arrives.

Some loads for My 17Rem, 4895-24.5 w/20 gr Hor hp; 760-27.4 W/20 gr Berger; AA2700-26 grW-25 gr Horn hp; 4320-25.2 gr w-25 gr Horn hp; these should be worked up slowly in small increments. Load data vary from manual to manual. Go slow, I like to seat as long as pos.
