Can anyone point me in the direction of a 18.6" 223 Wydle barrel with mid length gas??

Seems like everything I find is either sold out or $1200 and carbon fibre...

Thanks!

About the two nicest 18.6" barrels available with a mid length system are the Maple Ridge Armoury and the S&J Hardware KAC Style Dimpled barrel. I have the Maple Ridge Armoury Match Stainless Straight Fluted barrel and it's really nice. Weighs in at just under 2 lb's.

I'm not sure of why you're preference for a mid length system but if it has anything to do with the WK180-C I thought I'd fore warn you that Wolverine just confirmed they are sticking with the short carbine length system. Production model is no longer going to be the proposed mid length system. Don't want to see you put money out for no reason if the 180-C was your intent.

If you want it for anything other than the WK180-C I'd check out TNA they were supposed to have just received a shipment of the S&J dimpled barrels.

Huh?
A non-restricted AR-15?
Am I missing something?

There are no non-restricted AR-15's. That's still a dream.

What you may be missing is knowledge of the Maccabee Defense SLR NR receiver set that takes all standard ar-15 parts.

There is a receiver set in the works from ATRS that also takes standard ar-15 parts, but it's still pending NR approval.

Also the new 180b from IRG and the WK180-C from Wolverine and Kodiak. Both rifles are NR and both take AR-15 pattern barrels.

So yes, lately there has been a demand for 18.6" ar-15 barrels.

Even though the dream of a once again non-restricted ar-15 hasn't happened there are some exciting new NR products available that are compatible with ar-15 parts and barrels.

I see you're new here. Welcome aboard. You'll figure things out

my noveske spr is exactly 18.5 inches, comes with intermediate gas system
bought it at armtac

Well, if that's true, you're .1mm under legal NR length. If you want to get super anal about it. Probably why most Canadian manufacturers make them 18.6. Little bit of breathing room.

Thanks for the replies guys, I've been trying to get a MRA barrel but they're almost always sold out on their site

I am building an SLR. This is my first assembuild so I'm having quite the information overload on all the components going into this haha. I was informed that the mid length system will be more reliable with a wider range of ammo. Where rifle length can get a little finicky with lower grade/inconsistent ammo.

I definitely won't be reloading or feeding it the most expensive ammo I can find. Probably using a lot of mid grade or if a killer deal on some bulk id pick that up

Odin Works is doing a special run of 18.6" barrels in .223 Wylde and .300 Blackout if what I have heard is correct, guessing they will be rifle or intermediate length gas. I think they are almost out of production and should be available from Odin Sources in Canada, Gravel, Black Leaf and Reliable Gun (could be wrong on that though). Waiting to see how pricing looks myself.

Also can't go wrong with Jury or IBI, both super quality barrels.

Is there anyone making a 18.6 with a carbine gas system?
