180-B problem - final update

I have a similar problem… when I first got the rifle and pmags the bolt catch didn’t work with them… last time I had the rifle out it would randomly lock back on the last round and sometimes release on its own… if I try the finger in the magwell and push up the bolt catch it barely holds the bolt… a good jolt and the bolt will drop… inspecting my bolt catch carefully I can see that the hook appears to be bent to the side… your pictures look very similar to my beat up bolt catch, looks slightly bent the same too… I now believe that using the pmags has caused my bolt carrier to smack my bolt catch and slightly deform it causing a very similar issue to what you describe…

Well… I got to say you guys helped my figure out what was going on with my AR180… now I have to figure out a fix or get a new bolt catch… hope this helps and you get it figured out…

I know that Armalite lists a lot of 180-B replacement parts on their website. You could basically rebuild your rifle with everything the sell.

Whether or not they'll actually ship to you up here is a different story.

I believe Wolverine originally imported these guns, so maybe they might be able to help you out.

Armalite doesn't go around telling the world they have the world's most superior combat rifle. A rifle that will rule the world! They also don't send angry letters to people with warranty issues.

It is what it is. At least AR180B users aren't delusional about what they have.

You're right, Robarm must be the only company that markets their product as being awesome and revolutionary.
