180 gr factory ammo through a norc m14

Safe to fire or not? I have a few boxes of remington express core-lokt cartridges I would like to shoot (100 rnds or so). Thanks!

Safe to fire a few but I would not repeat this procedure over and over again. If you sight in and then blast a moose with it, then that's just fine.

If you are going to shoot a rapid fire string or 2, don't be surprised when the op rod breads off at the welded tube junction with the op rod handle part. Just my 2 cent worth.... shoot the 180 grainers through a .308 bolt gun!

your top end for the m14 et al action is 168 grains- a little research on your part would UNCOVER the VOLUMES OF COMMENTS ABOUT BULLET WEIGHTS in the m14 listed here so yes 150 grain ammo is ok-

You could turn off the gas and cycle the rifle by hand.

Turn off gas (grenade position) and you have a straight bolt rifle. Like a Ross with a spring assist.

marstar is selling 1000 rounds of 147 grain military norinco 308 for 495 a box. Got my order in, i think they are still taking orders for the november delivery
