What is the possibility of building a 180 variant in 450 bushmaster? I’m assuming all 450BM barrels have a 0.875” gas block and the 180s have a 0.750”. Any way around this?

Someone like Herron Arms would be the person to talk to about caliber conversions. Likely cost as much as you paid for the 180 originally

i've looked at it. you would have to drill out the gas block, but looks to be enough meat on it. or get a jard 180 with takes a gas system such that you can find an off the shelf gas block that would fit. you would also have to modify the bolt face. and find a barrel. 50 beowulf has a rebated rim that uses a 6.5 grendel bolt (tna sells them) but barrels harder to find and ammo ditto.

50 beo also has magazine issues - the horse cops consider them 556 mags, so if they're not pinned to 5 rounds of 556 you run the risk of getting in trouble.
