I have finally gotten into the black/green gun world I went with one of the first 3 OD green XCR-L Standard's in 223 into Canada it showed up earlier last week.
The reason I went with the XCR is I do not like the feel of the other non-restricted rifles out there I've been to the range twice with it now .
I bought it to use for predator hunting so was very happy when I started getting 3/4" X 1 3/4" 10 shot groups @ 100 yards using a VX3 2.5-8X36mm B&C scope set on 8 power I can't do much better than that with any rifle combo I own when only on 8X.
I have a 4.5-14X40mm that I will eventually put onto the rifle but need to get taller rings so I can mount it properly first, I'm thinking I should with a little more work bring those groups down to 1/2 that size.
I also tried 300 yards and once I was able to figure out the hold I was grouping all shots (my own reloads) into 3" - 4"...
Definitely good enough for me.
The XCR conversion kits are another added bonus I have no interest in the 7.62 myself and I'm thinking a 6.8spc or 6.5 would make a nice deer round but I would prefer a 6mmAR if they ever chamber for it and I feel the best conversion will be a 6X45 (223 case necked to 6mm) which give excellent performance/accuracy and uses plentiful 223 brass plus I have over 1600 6mm/.243" sitting on my shelf that I have had for up to over 20 years now.
The best thing about an XCR is Terra (XCRMonger) she comes along with every rifle/handgun they sell the customer relations that she gives is above anywhere else I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and if you ever have a problem she will be there looking after you faster than you can ever imagine.
I even received work in progress pictures...
Now for you people that post that OP's should do a search if you don't like the title of a post here is my suggestion to you don't waste your time reading it or even more of your time posting about doing a search.
Makes me think of wh*nny little cry bab*es boo hoo hoooo...
