Has anyone got a good load. We bought a lot of Federal factory loads, beginning to get low. Haven’t had any luck duplicating within pressure. Have tried the usual, 4831, 4350, 4895, Varget.
Came close with 4895.
Factory runs 3150fps, 22” barrel.

I've only used them in 338-06

If you're after high velocity, maybe try to find some Winchester StaBALL 6.5. It's a hair slower burning than 4350 and gives a bit more juice. Others that should work well are RL17, RL16, Viht N555, Hodgdon Hybrid 100V, Ramshot Hunter

Nosler has recently announced this bullet will be discontinued along with some others (eTip 338" 200gr, eTip 338" 250gr, 6.5mm 100gr Partition, 277" 140gr Partition, 6mm 55gr Varmageddon Tipped)

Is the 180gr Partition 30 cal discontinued? Haven’t seen it in years.

Damn, that 180 was a good one. Took down a few elk. Always exited at 400 yards, but always stayed in at 300. I have some StaBall loaded to test. I’m looking for Hunter. I also have some RL 17 loaded to test. I’ll look for 16 too. Sounds like I was part way! Thanks a lot.
Hammer bullets has a 190, got some to try. Usually can get another 100 feet per second, and they shoot very well in my Whelen. Higher bc, too.
