180gr CoreLockt In a 30-30

Yup key isn't the bullet weight or caliber. Key is its meant to be used in 30-06 etc

On the OTHER side of things, always wondered why people who want to shoot 150gr bullets from their 7.62x39 use spitzers made to work at higher velocities instead of flat nosed bullets used for its near ballistic twin, the 30-30
Mostly .310-.311 on the 7.62 x39 though?

We use the Speer hot cor at 2400fps in the ,308... Otherwise I'd proberly have a 30-30 😆🤷
Guna be using the BTSP down the track too, ..
I'd go the 150s over the 180s in 30-30 , 9 times outta 10.

Haven't had a 7.62x39 shoot 308 bullets that bad yet. They practically overlap. A looser 308 bore is a tighter 310-311 bore lol

Last SKS shot 30 cal better than 7.62x39 gold dot haha. Mind you with an SKS the bars kind of in hell.

That is very cool! And I hear ya on the 30-30! My go-to in the 308 and 30-06 this season is a 110gr TTSX. 3250 fps with starting loads, lots of room to crank it up, but accurate and all the recoil of a 6.5 Creedmoor.
