...

Looks good bud.
I'm excited for my Valkyrie. I'll build it on my second upper when I get the barrel from IBI.
You shooting factory ammo or hand loading?
Theres not much in Canada for factory ammo, I might order some from IRG or whoever has some match ammo. Otherwise I wanted to hand load the Sierra 95 grain SMK as I got a 1 in 6.5 twist coming.
There's no brass either so I got Gary at Bighorn Sales to order me some Starline...seems to be the best I can find in that caliber since Lapua and Alpha don't make it.
I got the same BCG but just gonna use the bolt and a lightweight carrier.

Can you keep me posted on how the brownells bolt holds up. It's cheaper than the jp that's why it peaks my interest

I will try to as well but I'll be waiting on ammo and brass.
I have been very happy with my other Brownells BCGs, low mass, nitride and 308 Titanium.
Fit and finish on my low mass BCGs was better than my Faxon so off it went. I think they may be made by Toolcraft.

I saw Valkyrie ammo at Canadian Tire in Edmonton the other day, if your local carries ammo they can probably bring it in for you if it's not on the shelf. Price didn't seem bad at all.
Sorry but I can't remember what it was, I think Federal 90gr but not sure.

Nice build as well. I guess I better just order a receiver set, still haven't seen any hit the EE.

I could be wrong but generally 224 rifles shoot 556 as well ? Essentially same casing sizing ?
Im planning on building a similar setup but i would like to shoot 223/556. so would a 224 bcg and barrel cover that?
Thanks guys

The 224 Valkyrie is different from 5.56 and 223 Remington.
You are maybe thinking of the similarities between 223 and 5.56. You can shoot 223 in a 5.56 but its advised you dont shoot 5.56 in a 223.
The 224 Valkyrie has a larger case head, wider body and shorter shoulder. It was designed with the shoulder back to allow for longer heavier bullets with a little more case capacity.
I don't think either cartridge would chamber in each others barrel.

Edit: I see you found your answer while I was pecking at my digital keyboard haha

Thanks for the info, i should of done my research before asking you guys. I am new to builds and i am currently in the process of a stag 10. The MS has really peaked my interest and would look really nice in the NR collection.
