1851 Colt ( Pietta ) handspring replacement

Hello all, have just had a failure and now have a severed handspring, anybody know a Canadian supplier that actually has parts to sell?
Part is broken off not just "Out of its slot"

If all else fails, you could try forming a replacement out of a flat spring from a cheap pocket mini-stapler or something else.

Many moons ago I broke the bolt portion of a trigger-bolt spring and made a replacement for only half of the spring from one of these, and fitted both under the screw with no problem.
 
Try contacting Rusty Woods Trading Company in Mission BC. Peter may be able to supply or make a spring. He does a lot of top quality work for the Cowboy Action Shooting community. Just do a google search and his website should pop up.

We have the springs in stock OR the complete hand with spring if you prefer.
