Hello CGN!
Ok I am stumped as what this is worth.
Super amazing design, super PIA to clean (though with a non-corrosive powder not as big a deal).
I got it when I was fourteen (yes), and did a science fair project (yes) comparing it and the Witworth. Title of my study "Comparison of two 1860's rifle designs", with an emphasis on that they were both used as sniper rifles, and which was better and why? The main criteria wasn't group size, but consistency of velocity (no radar back then, so this was a bit of a thing). Won first place in Calgary, then went on to nationals in Waterloo (flew, by myself with the rifles with a special “ATT” from CPS), where I won an honorable mention. Try that today. Other than the missing rear sight (made up for with the tang), she is in outstanding shape.

For reference I bought this 63 Shiloh for $2000 (Got a great deal)Mine gun is just about in unfired condition.On your gun the tang sight mounting is a bit wonky but one can easily pick up a proper tang sight and get a rear sight from Shiloh .Your Sharps could be worth $2000 to $3000 especially since Shiloh doesn t make the military version at present

What I mean by wonky is though the sight works for you it is obvious that it is the wrong tang sight as the stem is too short so you have it mounted on a wood/steel block to make up for it and also it is mounted a bit too far forward as well.If I were to buy it the first thing I would do is order the rear sight from Shiloh and source out a proper tang sight similar to what I have .I also own three of the percussion Shilohs 2 sporters and a 1859 Shiloh carbine
