Is that an Enfield Revolver Mk II in .476?

Or an Enfield rifle?

Thanks for you reply.. It is a rifle stamped V+R below a crown

Sounds like an Enfield Martini Henry.

Your Post title says 1868 and your post says 1886 ..... which is it?

If 1868 it should be a Snider-Enfield, if 1886 would be a Mark IV Martini-Henry. Post photos if possible .... there were various models - e.g. in the case of the Snider-Enfield a "Long Rifle", two versions of Short rifle (Naval and Land Service) and various carbines (cavalry, artillery, etc.)
