1873 Springfield trapdoor needs stock

My father in law passed away a month ago and this is one of the guns we have from his collection.
This rifle still shoots well but the stock was altered for what ever reason and I would like to replace it with a complete stock.
Does anyone know where I could find a replacement stock?

Don't replace the stock. Restore what is there. A new forend can be made, with the splice under the band. Properly done, it will be very unobtrusive.

Dixie Gun Works lists replacement stocks for both the 1873 Trapdoor Springfield rifle and carbine. Unsure whether these may be considered ITAR items, but worth looking into.
