my post was based on reading this.

Might not be the norm experience but certainly raises a bit of concern for me. Have no problem admitting I should probably do more research on it.

This is not reflective of our experience with Minox, nor is it now any warranty issues would be addressed by GBT. If you look hard enough on this forum you will find at least one negative comment on nearly every brand so I certainly do not think that this comment should be reflective of ruling out the ZP5 from consideration

I should add that since taking over Minox we have helped numerous customers with their warranty repairs and replacements for products that were sold by other dealers or our of the USA and not from GBT. Hopefully some of these positive stories you will also start to see on CGN

I run my 20" 5R on the same JAE chassis in the exact colour. For the scope I went with a Nikon P7 6x24 scope, been using Nikon cameras and photo lens for over 30 years, to me it was an easy choice.

I’m running a Gen 1 5r in 308 as my prs rifle. I bought it used with some work done by Henry Remple. It’s a great riffle although I’m wanting a 6.5 something. It’s sitting in a magpul hunter stock, has (iirc) an atrs 20 moa rail, Burris pepr and a Bushnell DMR. I also had EM precision add one of their brake’s and grenade bolt knob as well.

I am happy with it, that said I’ve never owned anything higher end. The previous optic I had in this was a 6500 series with the same G2 reticle. I really like the G2 reticle. The only thing I find lacking is a zero stop but iirc that was added to the gen 2 DMR.

I guess this is sort of a Ghetto Fabulous build.

Started as a gen 1 5R in .308. I tried a few different configurations but I think I'm close to being finished.

Cadex Field strike w/ bipod rail
Unknown Brake
UTG bargain bipod (not too shabby for my needs actually)
Ergo swift grip
A2 buttstock. (Dont hate. I love it. I have a cheek riser but lately I've been running it without.)
KRG bolt lift (large)
Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10x
Vortex rings

And I just blasted the whole thing down with tremclad high heat flat black paint lol.

I will be adding a trigger tech next, then I will focus on reloading before adding anything else to this rifle.

I've thought about investing in a fancy butt stock and bipod but i dont have the need for it as all of my shooting is done off a bench and not really long range. I like the look and feel of it as it is and for the 300-500 i will spend on a butt stock I dont think it will add much for me.

This rifle has been a lot of fun to experiment with and has really produced some of my best results on paper. Nothing to brag about due to my skill level, but I have definitely achieved my personal best whenever I've forked out the extra dough for some federal gold medal match ammo.
