Val @ ior does do his best! Can't fault him....not like the canadian rep who once carried the product.

Not sure if by "Val" you're referring to Valdada in the States, but he's an importer of ior, not an employee of ior. In fact his newest recon gen2 isn't even made by ior, he went with LOW in Japan. Ior simply does not have a good track record south of the border in regards to reliability for a lot of their models. Without a Canadian rep it wouldn't be a wise choice to buy one at this time, imo.
 
I am the lucky owner of two IOR Valdada variable magnification scopes. Both have the M8 reticle. The two rifles I have them on are both very accurate and will easily hold sub moa out past 600 yards with my hunting handloads.

Rifles like that deserve scopes capable of letting them achieve that performance consistently.

Both of these scopes do that, both of them are over ten years old and I've never had a problem with either of them. They get a lot of use.

I've heard there are some issues with the later models, especially those that feature first focal plane imaging.
