I have the same rifle as the OP and yes the stock flexes. It is not a B&C. I don’t believe the aluminum skeleton goes up the forend. I recall seeing a cut away picture of one and it stops somewhere just past the action.

Really? I'm definitely cutting mine once I get a replacement:) If the stock sits on a bipod the heavy barrel will make the fore end bend, although I can slide a piece of paper(envelope) between the barrel and the stock. An adjustable McMillan stock would be so nice, plus it would take care of the magazine problem, but from what I'm reading it's a pain to get one to Canada :( I might just go with a Bell&Carlson M40 tactical, basically exactly the same stock. Anyone dealt with B&C before, are they stiffer at the fore end?
