Here for your perusal is Martini-Henry 450/577 rifle serial number AC 5065 dated 1878. It would have been manufactured at the RSAF between April 1877-March 1878 which is the production year for Enfield, one of 35,630 made in that year. The "2" on the barrel and action denote is has been passed into the second class reserve, which was set down in criterion from Enfield, and after inspection at Birmingham Bagot St. The 11/94 is part of the Fort William (Calcutta) Arsenal dating stamp on the stock, the other markings is the marking from the Nepalese regiment it passed to some time around 1900. I've shot this rifle with modern black powder ammo and it's very accurate for such an old veteran.
