Hi Guys,

I'm looking at the 1891/30's on Westrifles website. Can someone educate me please on exactly what makes these rifles cost in the $350-420 range when most other (non-sniper) models can often be found in the $170-200 range ?

I'm sure it has a lot to do with the vintage (1920's) and the hex receiver. But I did a bit of googling and most of what I found suggested that the hex receiver only warranted a $20-50 premium.

So what is about these particular rifles that commands up to 2x the price of your regular Mosin ? BTW, not #####ing about the price Westrifle is charging, they seem pretty good guys, I don't have a problem paying more if something is in fact worth more. I just don't have the knowledge to determine if these are far more rare /collectable /mint condition than the regular $170 Mosins ?

Thanks much !

They are ex dragoon, so they are more collectable. The only reason for the price is that they know what they have unlike most others

From what I've read ex-dragoon are hardly considered more collectible than the round receiver. There's millions of hex refurbs out there, that's what these look like. Maybe the info I've found (7.62x54r.net) is not accurate for today's (canadian)market ?

They are worth a little more to me but not double.
