1891 Argentine Mausers

Very nice rifles indeed.
I have a 1891, as well as a 1909 Argentine and a 1909 Peruvian.
They are all great rifles, and they are very accurate with my reloads.
Brass is easily made from shortened 30-06 brass, which I regularly find at the range.

BTW how does your carbine shoot? POI must be very high considering that the lowest setting on the "lange visier" is 400 meters.

The carbine does shoot high because of the 400m minimum, but I guesstimate and aim low when shooting. I shot at a log about 400yds away with the Peruvian that a black bear was on. I held dead on the log and he looked at where I shot and then ran off. He was across a very steep ravine so I didn't really want to take him.

I have plenty of 7.65 brass. I buy boxes of Norma ammo at gun shows when I find it. I reload as well with Hornady #3120 .3115 bullets. They are a little scare right now from what I've read.

I also bought 7.65 brass (Privi) from Buffalo Arms in the states once. They won't ship brass to Canada anymore though. Check Tradex, they sell 7.65 ammo and bullets.

*Just a note. Norma ammo is loaded to European standards and it's loaded hot (2960fps for 150gr bullets). Be careful if your not sure of the condition of your 1891. It works fine in my rifles with no pressure signs.
