1893 spanish mauser

I inherited a 1893 Spanish Mauser made in 1924 the rifle is numbers matching but someone cut the military stock down just by the first metal band that holds down the top hand guard. I have always wanted a 7x57 and this rifle hasn't been converted so i am wanting to do some hand loads and see what she will group!. I am just curious on how strong the 1893 actions are and what pressures they will take.

Spanish mausers can be found very rusty and corroded under the stock. Make sure you inspect that and if ok it should be fine with standard 7x57 loads. I just won a Spanish cavalry carbine at an auction for $120. It’s numbers matching, has a small area of corrosion and needs a stock crack repair but I’m very happy with it. Fired 5 shots(first with a string at distance) and it’s correctly sighted in as well. I’ll get the crack repaired before I fire it more…
