1894 barrel replacement

Are early 1894 Winchesters all the same barrel thread? I bought an 1894 in 38-55 and I don't have high hopes for the bore in it, I'll be shocked if it even stabilizes a bullet.
There are new production replacement barrels available, I'm just wondering how threads would compare.

The threads haven't changed. Forend, magazine cuts have to match.

Thanks. The magazine hanger could move up or down, as long as the dovetail is the same. Hanger might be iffy. Thinking buying a barrel would be a lot cheaper than having one made.

I installed a barrel from a modern commemorative onto an 1894 with a 4 digit serial number. It went right in and torqued to index.
The magazine tube hanger may not go into a dovetail - it can be rotate to lock installation and if driven out as if it were a dovetail, damage will be done.

Any issues with changing from round to octagonal profile? The original wood seems usable if it could be made to fit.

If the forend and magazine tube fittings work, should be OK.
