I just bought a genuine 1894 short rifle, never seen one before. Here's the specs: .30 WCF, takedown, 20 inch rapid taper barrel( I've read 20 inch rifles are very rare), shotgun butt. Action is all grey but barrel and mag are about 70 percent blue. Manufactured 1908 according to the Madis book. Forend is 8 and 3/8 inches long and mag is full length.
I have absolutely no intention of parting with it but do any of you Winchester collectors know what this gun might be worth and how rare is it?
