Got a chance to buy a 1894 W.C.F.30 made in 1904,Can anyone tell me a good price range? I`m not sure how to pst a pic, but I can PM It has a metal cap on the forestock but I don`t see a magazine tube.

I haven`t seen the rifle yet, I`m looking at pictures, the action looks shiny silver color. Could it be that the magazine does not protrude past the fore stock?

Tough to say. It is an old one, but someone has sanded that buttstock pretty good, and scrubbed that receiver shiny clean. Both those things really hurt the value. The rifle has a button mag (half mag, all of which is inside the fore stock). If the bore is good and the action is tight and cycles the rounds through just fine, then it is a shooter with some history. Hard to say the value, but I would say around $450 with the sanded buttstock and cleaned receiver. I'm not a good authority on this, though. Ultimately, the market decides the value. Persnally, I would hate to pay more than $250 for it given the sanding and scrubbing, but it is probably worth more.

Too bad someone tried to "improve" it. Looks like the action was bead blasted or pickled in acid. They sanded the blazes out of the butt at the tang area as well. In really good condition(80%) that would bring over $1000 as a special order sporting rifle. As it is now, in the $400 dollar range if it has a good bore.
