1894 Winchester 32/40

Looking for some help putting a value on a gun for a friend.
I know value can be in the buyers eye but what would a good starting # be
Has hex barrel
Searched serial # made 1904
Serial starts with 233 5xx
Can send pics if will help with evaluation overall it looks very good but does have a small crack in for end

Lol yes a common mistake. I see hex or hexagon barrel all the time. “OCTAGON” people!!
