1895 gbl

Wow nope. I've owned lots of Marlins and have shot friends Marlins. I've seen tilted front sights angled barrels( L-R not U-D) all my Marlins zero on 2 or 3 lowest notch @100yds only times ive seen them shoot low is with aftermarket sights. Is this gun new? Origional sights? Id run a straight edge along the top of the receiver and check the barrel to see if has droop. Options are get a taller front sight or mount a scope.

Lol edit lower front sight...duhh what was I thinking

I just bought one as wel GBL 45-70l a few weeks back and the irons are horrendous, mine were bent and the front hood sat all #### eyed. Id pull them off, throw them in the trash and get either a set of XS sights or Skinner.

Ya its brand new. I did read somewere that they were installing the wrong sights on the 45-70 the front is supposed to be .279 mine measures .360 and it does shoot to the left about 7-8 inches also. I didnt drift sights over tho to see if i could correct that. And at 50y the sights would have to be drifted so mich for correction at 100y. They might fall out. Lol

I did test 4 types of ammo through it and all shot consistantly low and to the left. 405 remingtons. 430 hsm bear load. 350 hornady FP (handload) and 300g Nosler BT (handload) i think its best i send it back.

For fresh out of the box... yeah, send it back. Otherwise you'll be into it for another couple hundred bucks and may/may not have fixed the original issue.
I hate the idea of buying a 250$ set of sights to fix a manf issue - unless I planned to go that route from the get go.

Scott.
The barrel is misaligned with the reciever.

And the Gravel agency were i had to send mine is out of stock and will not recieve a new rifle till the end of july.
They will not issue a refund they will not credit bass pro were i purchased it.
Dealing with costomer service there has been horrendas. I will never purchase another remington product agian
