7.62, I agree 100%... the only issue I see with your idea is that it makes sense. The laws surrounding firearms in this country never make sense.

Plus the RCMP just make lots up as they go along, ever wonder why there is no menton of antique storage in the act but if you get an antique letter from the queens cowboys it says storage laws apply? There are NO storage laws that pertain to antiques. I called and inquired as to why the letters said that and was told "because antiques meet the criminal code definition of a firearm"... Interesting because the storage laws are in the firearms act and not the cc.

Best off to get French 1892. Better gun easier to make ammo.
Had both still have 1892. Nagant has great historical value but as far as shooting not so great in my opinion.
