1897 Trench/Riot Gun Authenticity Question

the op has a good description and good pics and not trying to deceive anyone .,The asking price is in the ball park for what it is and has with it ,and is way better quality than the Chinese copies offered a few years ago from vendors at 400-500 $ when our dollar was strong

These are about the only shotgun I am ever really interested in. Wish a company would make a actual reproduction one of these.

Norinco built a reproduction Model 97 trench gun that was sold south of the 49th Parallel. Do not know if it was available to our neighbors to the north. I have one and it is og good quality and pasts the 5 foot test. Another good thing about it is a M1917 bayonet fits.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Have had well over a dozen '97's in the past and based on what I've sold them for I figured my asking price on this one was fair. I'm not out to deceive anyone, but hoping to get this thing in the hands of someone who's always wanted a trench gun, but couldn't afford the real thing. Have had a lot of interest so far, hopefully it'll be in the mail by the end of the day.

yes we did have them here several years back think mine was $400.00 back then norinco

I also remember a dealer had real trench guns maybe 15 years back well used but they were cheap I got 2 long since sold

Now I have a new gun I want. They look so neat. Too bad I will need to buy a reproduction if I want one, 3000 might be too much for an original for me. Anyone knows how hard it is to make a reproduction from a cheaper one? Also what does the GHD marking means?

Some trench gun photos to compare it to.

If you are lucky.
