Hi,

Ive got a 1903 browning pistol frame. Just looking for some info on it, based on the markings. I tried to get pics, but they all turned out very blurry.

The serial number appears to be 17  Thats the only number on the frame I could find. Seems very low. This number is located on the right side of the frame, above the trigger guard area.

There is a letter V in a box on the bit of metal top right of the trigger guard.

On the left side of the slide, above the trigger guard, there is a sideways E with a star above it. To the right of that, there is what looks like a lion above a line with the letters PV under the line. To the right of that, there is what looks like a line with 3 increasingly larger sideways V's to the right of the line.

Right below where the hammer would be located, there is a crown. Below to the left of that, there are the letters of H.-C. Below to the right of the crown, there are the letters C.J.

Theres looks like a name scratched into the side too. Appears to say " Laitn Ekstrom L.G. This sounds like a swedish name.

I know the lack of pictures and sketchy descriptions may not be alot to go on, but any help is appreciated.

Thanks
