I have a nice 03 Springfield in a Fajan stock that is chambered in 308 norma mag. The current barrel has the old style integrated muzzle brake as well.
I have no use for the brake and am not wanting to start loading for a 308 norma so I was thinking about a new calibre and barrel. Any suggestions that would fit inside this action?

Thanks

Boltface has been opened for magnum, so that limits your options. Do you load for any belted magnums at present? The extractor has also likely been altered, and perhaps the feedrails. If the receiver's feedrails have not been altered, a new bolt could be fitted, and then any .30-06 based round would be possible.

Thanks for the comments. I load for most belted magnums already so that isn't an issue. I was thinking going up into the 338 to 375 calibre range. Reading more on the Norma mag, it appears that it is a necked down 338 win mag. Maybe a .375-338 win mag might fit? Anyone know the OAL of a .375-338?
Thanks
