I have inherited a Fosbery, spent a lot of time researching it. The soldier who purchased it has a long and highly awarded career, having served in both WW's.

Am looking for information on it's possible value and how to sell.

You're going to need to provide a lot more information than that. Things like:
-Condition of the firearm (cosmetic and mechanical)
-Who was the soldier?
-Do you have any physical proof that this soldier had it?
-Is there any evidence the soldier actually carried it?

Pictures are often helpful as well. You can post them to Google drive and link them, or post directly.

The people on this forum are very knowledgeable and usually very helpful. However some information is requisit.

I've seen fosberries go north of $7k, but those were presentation pieces. A rust bucket might be worth a couple hundred.

As far as how to sell, there should be a sticky explaining restricted sales. You can request access and sell in the Pistols and Revolvers section on the EE, use an auction or take it to your local gun store. If transporting, ATTs are obviously required. All of this assumes that it is registered to you. If it's not registered, you will have to do that. Hopefully you have enough time...

There are several that have gone to auction over the years. It would be worth while comparing model/condition etc with yours and looking at the hammer prices.
If you are looking to sell we have a potential buyer.

I'm afraid I can't be of much help in actually determining value, but it looks to be in good condition for its age and the provenance is certainly a bonus.

Hopefully someone will be along soon who can help with pricing.

Be aware that if the "freeze" comes in before you have completed transfer of the handgun, you may be stuck with it.

I saw one listed at Marstars a few years ago for 10k. I’ve seen another on EE, missing the front blade, listed for 5 or 6K. Don’t know what it sold for. To maximize value of something this unique and collectable, you’ll probably need to go to the US.

Can you please PM me and let me know what you feel a fair offer would be. Thanks!

Your best move, I think, is to list it with a well-known auction house. They'll advertise it and they'll find the right buyer.

if you want to tie that revolver to the owner, see if you can find the 'original registration certificate' for it.
I have my buddies grandfathers webley from WWII with his certificate...
