so there she is, beautiful, bore is minty on in, it never saw any service, most likely a training rifle from a club im guessing thats what the OCRA stands for, im looking for a front sight for it, and id be even more interested to get the target sight that was used on this gun as well anything else you guys wanna add that would be great, im just happy its finally here:)

Very nice rifle!

Is the bayonet loose on the muzzle? Blade looks like a Mk. II regrind. For a Mk. III rifle?

i dont have that exact blade, the pics are the ones i got when i bought it, i have another ross bayonet, but the patent is for 1907, so id assume after this one, and it is quite loose on the barrel,

Looks as if it had a couple of different aperture sights on it. One that used the stock reinforcing screw, and another with a bridge mount, using the pairs of holes of either side of the receiver.

yeah, there was originally a target sight on it i believe, the holes are on both sides, i was hoping maybe some one knew where i could find a target sight maybe smellie, also i need a new rear sight, its seen some better days, but mainly i need the front blade going to start my search,

So from what i saw on the ross rifle forum, there was a brass plate fitted on the gun and a target sight fitted into that, just gotta know where to get one now...... i love the gun, its a beauty,

ohhhh, I hate you! But I love your rifle... ;)

What a beaut! I love the stock; all stamped to death...like reading history!

calling on you ross guys, is this sight fixable? it need the smaller portion fixed as you can see, or is it possible to change it out for another one? ive got another sight ordered and its on its way here, but figured maybe i could fix this one

those sights have a million little parts and springs...none of which has been available for a hundred years...best forget it.

If you've actually found the right sight, just swap it in.

Drive the pin out with a pin punch. Getting the new sight in is not easy but is doable.

thanks, and yeah i kinda figured that, unless i find someone who has a ton of sight parts or something, ive been told that theres wood "missing" am i missing something, it looks pretty complete except the front top handguard which looks like it was never there to begin with
