1908 Mannlicher Shoenauer

Picked up one of these 1908 Mannlichers today. Its 8x56m.s. Anyone know much about these? I got dies with it and some ammo. Is there a source for brass? Going to see how it does with cast bullets.

I believe you can start with 8x57 cases, size, trim, etc.
A friend had one. He commented on the stoutness of the recoil - light rifle, heavy bullet at good velocity.
 
I had one and it was a fantastic little carbine! I only shot two deer with it, but used Game Kings and they performed perfectly at 90 paces and 143 paces .
I still regret selling it, but I got back a 6.5x54MS recently so I don't feel too bad! LOL.
That 8mm has lots of power for moose as well as deer.
I think Intersurplus has 8mm Ms cases for sale
Mine wasn't a half stock likes yours however, it was a full stock carbine with the short barrel
