Hi there, didn't have much luck on the antique section so I thought I'd try here. Anyone know where to find parts for the above rifle, specifically a hammer? Mine follows the bolt when it's cocked, doesn't stay at full ####. Any help would be appreciated, I really like the gun and would like to get it working 100%. Looks like ther were 3 types of hammers made, I believe mine would be the Type 1. Thanks!

Still trying to figure this out, could be the sear. Makes sense as sometimes the hammer will stay back and then snap to half ####, like it slipped off something. Gonna take it apart and have a look.

Just some judicious filing and stoning will re-establish a hammer notch sufficiently for use again. as you suggest it may be the angle of the sear ledge has rounded off to be ineffective...again, grinding to re-establishing a proper angle will easily fix your problem...very much doubt you need new parts.

Thanks for the replies, I'm going to look at rebuilding this gun. Does anyone know where to get parts for this, It's been rebarrelled at some point so there's little collector value, may as well have fun with it. Thanks for the tip fingers, I'll give that a go.
