saskatchewan
No screw in chokes
No adjustable stock
No release trigger
No fibre optic sight
Beware of the man with one gun
Just something to ponder for everyone that needs the newest gear .
That being said there were more events won with a model 12 than any other gun
Just saying

Yeah...
- But also wonder if the rules/distance/target speed were the same in 1910?

- 1912 Olympic Games

1910 Grand American was shot in Chicago on a layout just like today's, I believe. Winner 19 yard Handicap 100, Winner 16 yard - 80 singles, 20 double - 100
The straight line shooting position is for International or Bunker Trap, which also has a very long history.
Early American Trap competitors used 1 1/4 ounce, 3 1/4 or 3 1/2 Dram fibre wad loads.
You can find a great deal of Trap shooting history on Trapshooters.com -contributors like Dr. Drew Hause.

I'm surprised the Parker gun is a SXS and not a single barrel. Maybe Parker Parker didn't bring out their single barrel until after 1910.

Just about all Lindner Charles Daly SBT guns are from between about 1908 and 1914. My guess is the SBT didn't become a "must have" until late in the 1900 aughts.

Started with pumps finished with k guns and everything in between and what I was told when I started IMO still holds true today
It is not the stick but who is holding it
I would guess the stick might make a 5% difference where gun fit and the dude holding it makes up 95% of the scores
There was old guys here in NS that I am positive could run the 100 with an old cooey single shot and when I seen them get up some times in the early days with today's vintage guns it was time to watch and just shake my head wondering how anyone could smoke them like that so consistently names like jenkins and giovannetti with just one arm come to mind and many others
I remember jenkins dad and this also
That will be you Spank at 92 :)
Cheers

Sid Jenkins, shooting 92 in his 92 year, at the Atlantic Trap Championships held in Moncton in 1996 - he shot two 25 straights. :)

With any luck!!

This gives me hope. I thought I was too old at age 39 to start being good at trap

You are never too old to start. My buddy Ed Wald started shooting trap 7 years ago at age 61 when health issues prevented him from golfing. This past weekend he shot his first 100 straight at the annual Edmonton City Championships held at the EGC. Now his name will go on the wall of those who have shot 100 straight at the EGC!

You have to remember one thing. Spank mastered it so it is not that hard :)

You got that right! If a fellow who started out as a skeet shooter like me can do it?!...:p

It was just too close. Anyone can hit targets at a max range of 21 yards and doubles converging at centre over your hold point! Even an old Fudd like you can shoot that game! ;)

Always found it funny how skeet shooters found trap easy and trap shooters the opposite. Man I wish we had a sporting clays set up here :(

I've always experienced the opposite. Most skeet shooters I know are very poor trap shots.

All three are easy to be mediocre at. All three are damn hard to be really good at.

100%....

May be because all the guys I shot with were goose and duck hunters first that may have made a difference
Could I run them in trap nope very rarely but had 22 plus pretty much every round which was good enough for me in fact first round ever was a 20 but we only were set up for 16 yard also. Very small club
