I've got a Norinco 1911 Mil Spec and love the thing...hasn't let me down yet. However, shooting gets a bit pricey so I was thinking of getting a .22 Conversion kit for it but I've only found ones in the U.S...anyone know of a Canadian company offering? Also, where can a guy get 8 round mags for it in .45? Thanks, I'm new to the site and love it so far.
Richard.

try Freedom Ventures, sponser above. I bought my .22 conversion from them. you can buy a second hand ruger .22 for way cheaper. I just like the feel of a 1911.

Kimber makes a nice kit and can be had at most retailers.

The Marvel one is known to be the most precise. Sometimes you can pick them up under the Wilson Combat banner. I know some CGN Dealers are carrying these.

The old Colt ACE conversion kits are the cat's pajamas though. They're the only kits that use a steel slide and have last round hold open capabilities. Good luck finding one though, they're ultra rare.

Thanks alot for the advice everyone...I'll keep my an eye out for a Kimber kit or one of the others...I'd be much more likely to shoot more at 3 cents a shot.
