Well some of my back pay has come thru so I need to buy a new toy. I want a 1911 style 22 Lr. I have played with the walther colt gold cup trophy and really liked it. Sight sponsor has them for $549. The other option is the sig saur version of the gsg. I hear they wear better than the cheaper finish of the gsg. Several places have them on sale. Is the fixed barrel colt worth the extra money?
Anyone own both? Pros and cons either way?

i picked up the sig model "just think it looks better"
picked up the zrts performance upgrade kit from blueline and a pearce grip insert
and here she is smooth and accurate no issues other than bushing fit is a little tight slight rub
which i assume will break in

The GSG 1911 and Sig Sauer 1911 are exactly the same pistol except the name. Both are manufactured on the same assembly line by GSG (German Sport Guns GmbH) in Ense, Germany. The quality of both is exactly the same and the finish is the same. I have had the GSG 1911 for nearly six months which I bought together with the ZRTS Performance Package which makes it a great shooter with any 22LR ammo. You can compare mine with the Sig Sauer showed by chadeech above. I also have a Pearce grip insert on mine. Either the GSG 1911 or the Sig Sauer 1911 with the ZRTS, you will never regret.
Having said that I also have a Grand Power K22S which is even better shooter than the GSG/Sig Sauer 1911. Superbly accurate, comes with four back straps for various hand sizes. A pic attached for comparison.

P.S. I just noticed that the Sig 1911 pictured by chadeech has no a steel insert at the slide stop notch like mine has. It looks like an older model.
