Has anyone purchased a 80% frame and slide lately? I've been trying to source some out but I'm finding it kind of hard. I know Dlask used to but I believe that they don't anymore. Is it legal to buy these kits from the U.S.? Would I need to get a bunch of paperwork and import garbage to get one from down there?

Just looking for some info of these. Hoping to get one for a build in a few months. Any info on this would be great!

I don't know. ..but I've been trying to source one myself to finish off a hot rod project I'm working on.( Want a true pistol grip shifter) I've been thinking I might have to get a norinco and have it deactivated. Thinking this is probably the best way out for me...
Betcha the cops would love seeing a real pistol for a shifter....

I know caspian arms has them and they are priced pretty good. Just not sure if they ship to Canada. I sent them an email asking, hopefully reply.

Dlask lsts an 80% fram and slide, says it out of stock however. I know Brownell's has said they won't ship 80% frames into Canada. Quite a few companies in the US sell jig sets for both 1911's and AR's, these can be brought into Canada without any issues. Stealth Arms makes a really nice 1911 jig kit.

Oh and before anyone asks, 80% frames are ITAR controlled.

Just got off the phone with Dlask arms and they are expecting a shipment of the 80% kits to come in within a few weeks

Maybe worth asking, AR 80% lowers have a warning and won't ship, this doesn't happen with 1911 80% lowers. Interesting. Gigs are g2g I think. EDIT , AR JIGS have restrictions too, wont ship.

On the Sportsmansguide website it says that the 80%1911 frame is available for shipping to Canada. ... does anyone know if a 80% frame would make it through customs?
